Mariska Meijers is a Dutch creator and designer. We meet at the “Salon Maison et Objet” and Mariska, all smiles, showed us her color-filled world. Above all, she is an artist who put her creations at the heart of interior design. Her eye is attracted by colour. Based on her paintings, she creates fabric and wallpaper. The motifs can be abstract or figurative, geometric or organic. Her fabrics become cushions, suspensions, lampshades or curtains. They can also be reproduced on attractive trays of any size. By placing them on a metallic structure, they turn into colorful side tables. The variations on these designs are infinite. Lately, the designer has even imagined a range of silk kimonos repeating her motifs.
